NERD CAVE SHOW 20210518. AudioCraZ, Beard & Gary & Lady Duke are together again in the studio!
A classic Mac Shareware gets ‘nagware’ removed after 35 years. Al Evans created Cap’n Magneto and released it as shareware in 1985. After fans of the game contacted him, he updated the game to remove the shareware ‘nagware’ so people can play through the game in its entirety.
NVidia announced that all current 3000 series GPU’s will have anti-mining flags. This is to reduce the hash rate for Ethereum mining on all new cards, which will be indicated on their boxes as “LHR” or “Lite Hash Rate”. This is a much wanted change for many gamers as instead of just a driver limiter (as seen previously on the 3060 that was easily defeted). This is to add a secure handshake between the driver, the silicon, and the BIOS that prevents removal of the hash rate limiter. We will see how well this works when the new cards start hitting the shelves.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Metalocalypse and The Venture Bros are getting new movies! Adult Swim will be making movies for each and releasing them direct to DVD and VOD, then 90 days later they will be released on Adult Swim and HBO Max.
