Leaked Images Of AMD RX7900 GPU with Dual 8 Pin Power Connectors
Thanks to a post on twitter by @9550pro we get a few glimpses at the prototype of the upcoming RX7900 GPU. This prototype match images posted by AMD for the upcoming 7900 graphics cards. Below picture shows the prototype RX 7900 next to the RX 6900 GPU.
We can assume this is close to final development and testing board as the lack the backplate, and still have the testing and debugging contact pins. We can also assume that the red PCB will be replaced with a more common black. What is certain is that the new RX 7900 gpu is slightly longer than the RX 6900.
You can also see that there are only two 8-Pin power connectors. Confirming AMD’s response to not using the 12+4 power connector. The fan shroud design indicates that there will be no room for additional 8 pin connectors. Many assume that this is the Radeon 7900 XT or the 7900 XTX, which have similar power connectors and triple fan design.
