CableMod 12VHPWR Angled Adapters Delayed
CableMod has announced on Twitter today that their 12VHPWR 90 degree angled adapters will be delayed for further testing. On a post on their website they state that they want to extend testing to “confirm compatibilities with more graphics cards on the market”. But on the positive site, they have also announced the 180 degree 12VHPWR adapter.
Unfortunate Delays
With the update on the delay of the 90 degree adapter, CableMod also announced the 180 degree version of their adapter. CableMod estimates a 4-6 week delay on the release of these 12VHPWR adapters. There is a pre-order for the adapters, so if you are interested in getting on one release day, you can head to CableMod’s website and sign up. You will need to know which variant of adapter (A or B) that will work with your card. If you had already signed up for the CableMod CableMod 12VHPWR adapter, then you are still on the waiting list.
The Right Adapter For Your Card
If you look at the image above, you can see the differences in the 4 adapters. Depending on what card you purchased and which power connector the AIB installed on your graphics card. You will need to verify the orientation of the power connector on your card, or check with CableMod’s compatibility list. These adapters should both allow for a clean cable routing in your case, and help alleviate most of the cable bending near the GPU.
UPDATE ON OUR ANGLED ADAPTERS
We are aware we let down lots of people who were impatiently waiting for the countdown to clock zero, but we had to postpone the pre-sale to complete the compatibility chart. We updated the landing page with a ton of new info: https://t.co/k1mcNPMb9d pic.twitter.com/cymtdAbRk6— CableMod (@CableMod) November 1, 2022
