Taking a good look at the Wilkinson Audio MD421 Clip. A direct replacement to the troublesom and finiky factory mic clip for the Sennheiser MD421 Broadcast vocal mic.
For those of us who have used the Sennheiser MD421 for more than just a broadcast vocal mic, will also be very familiar with the headaches and utter frustration with the custom mic stand arm (clip) design for the MD421. Be it from an on air personality “accidentally” bumping the clip button, and the mic sliding off. Or even better, when we try to use the 421 as a percussion mic, and having it fall off and land on the instrument during a performance, can be a huge PITA. I had been searching around, and even came close to buying a new replacement arm just to see if it would be any better. (Which we all know was highly doubtful)
Insert the Wilkenson Audio MD421 Clip. A simple, yet genius design that not only solves the issue, but allows you to use the 421 with a standard mic clip. I may be in love.
